Anxiety Therapy For Kids in Madison, MS
Helping children, teens, and families break free from the anxiety cycle.
Hi, I’m Tyler Slay, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Madison, Mississippi. I specialize in treating anxiety and OCD in children, teenagers, adults, and families. If you're searching for a child therapist for anxiety in Madison, MS, you're in the right place.
Anxiety can rob a child of the joy, curiosity, and freedom that childhood should offer. If your child is missing out on normal experiences like school, friendships, sleepovers, and hobbies, you may already sense that encouragement alone isn’t enough. You need a structured and evidence-based plan to help your child build confidence, face fears, and reclaim their life.
That’s where I come in. My approach to child anxiety treatment is rooted in exposure and response prevention (ERP) and family-based interventions. I’ll work closely with you and your child to gently interrupt the anxiety cycle, not just at the child level but within the whole family system. You’ll receive practical strategies, compassionate coaching, and a clear roadmap forward.
I have trained at International OCD Foundation’s Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). This specialized training equips me with the science, skills, and framework to help children and adolescents in Mississippi overcome Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and various other anxiety disorders.
Many families come to me after trying play therapy, general counseling, or hoping things would get better on their own. Those approaches can help, but for anxiety disorders that are deeply entrenched, they’re often not enough. My role is to guide your family toward lasting change, step by step.
Even small improvements, just 10 percent better, can dramatically shift the tone of your home. And most families see much more than that. Imagine your child laughing more, sleeping better, saying yes to things they used to avoid, and feeling proud of their progress. That kind of transformation is possible.
You’ve already taken a courageous first step by searching for help. I’m committed to helping you break the cycle of anxiety in your home.
